The SalesInvesting in Grit, Grace & the Next GenerationEvery winter, the energy of the livestock arena becomes something electric. Young exhibitors from across Texas gather to show animals they've raised with dedication, discipline, and heart. And Women Steering Business is right there in the stands—ready to support, celebrate, and invest. We attend and purchase at two key events each year: Fort Worth Stock Show Jr. Sale of ChampionsAs part of the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate, we purchase top steers exhibited by young women at one of the nation’s most prestigious livestock auctions. This moment isn’t just about ribbons or records—it’s about showing these young women that their hard work matters, and their futures are worth investing in. Tarrant County Junior Livestock ShowAt the local level, we also show up strong—purchasing steers and awarding scholarships to every young woman who qualifies for the Jr. Sale. In 2025, for example, our support totaled more than $30,000 at this show alone. This is our home, and these are our girls. We’re proud to help cultivate confidence, character, and leadership right here in Tarrant County. Why It MattersThese young women rise before dawn, care for their animals through the hottest days and hardest setbacks, and walk into the ring not just to compete—but to shine. When we raise our paddle, we’re raising our voice in support of their future. To date, Women Steering Business has given over $2.5 million to champion youth exhibitors since 2013. A Deeper LookThis 2014 feature takes you inside the heart of the Jr. Sale of Champions. While years have passed, the spirit remains the same: early mornings, hard-won victories, and a community that rallies around the next generation. It’s a powerful reminder of why this tradition matters—and why we keep showing up. Sale of Champions |
